Captain Tony Traad

Flamingo, Upper Keys and Biscayne Bay

 Tony was raised in South Florida and has been fishing, diving and hunting the area since childhood.  Tony earned an undergraduate degree as well as a law degree from the University of Miami.  Tony and his family live in Homestead were he serves his community as a police officer.  Besides guiding and law enforcement, Tony is involved in the manufacturing of boats.  Tony is one of the founding partners and the treasurer of "SeaHunter Boats", building custom flats and offshore fishing boats.  Tony has appeared on Fox Sports and the Sunshine Network’s TV show “Sportsman’s Adventures” as well as the Outdoors Channel's TV show "Familiar Waters".  Additionally, Tony has written articles for local and national fishing publications.

Fishing Style: Fishing the shallow waters and back country of South Florida with Light Tackle & Fly Gear.

Trailer Guide:  Fishing from three different geographic areas of South Florida (Everglades Nat'l Park [Flamingo], Biscayne Bay, Upper Florida Keys) depending on where the fish are biting and the weather.

Angler Skill Level: Accommodating anglers of all skill levels, ages and desired fishing techniques.  Children to mature anglers, from fly fisherman to live bait anglers are welcome.

Boat Versatility: The use of three different  boats increases the variety of shallow water and back country fishing adventures. (see boats page)

Instructional fishing: Providing information not just about casting but lure and fly selection, lure placement and fish behavior.

Fun fishing: Good natured, no pressure fishing trips with the goal of having fun.
